About Halcyon Dermatology: Laguna Hills Dermatologist Dr. Kathy Lee and Dr. Jeffrey Landers

DR. KATHY LEE, M.D.

Halcyon Dermatology, located in Laguna Hills, California, was founded by Dr. Kathy Lee. Dr. Kathy Lee grew up in Indiana and attended Washington University in St. Louis where she received her undergraduate degree, Masters degree, and Doctor of Medicine degree. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine and Dermatology residency at Indiana University in Indianapolis. Dr. Lee is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology (Board Certified) and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Lee’s clinical interests include medical and pediatric dermatology, lasers, ethnic skin, and cosmetic dermatology. Her current research interests include genetic associations for personalized medicine, development of AI-assisted health care technologies, atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, and emerging cosmetic and medical therapeutics.

DR. JEFFREY LANDER, M.D., PH.D.

Dr. Jeffrey Lander specializes in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous (Skin-related) Oncology. He performs in-office surgery and reconstruction at Halcyon Dermatology. He received a PhD in Biological Sciences at University of California, Irvine before completing his medical school and dermatology residency at the University of Minnesota. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. He is a Southern California native who now lives in San Clemente. He enjoys the ocean, being active, and spending time with his family.

DR. SAMANTHA TRAN, M.D.

Dr. Samantha Tran was born and raised in Orange County. She received her undergraduate degree at University of California, Irvine and her Doctor of Medicine degree at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker School of Medicine in Kalamazoo Michigan. She completed both her internship in Internal Medicine and Dermatology residency at Southern Illinois University in Springfield Illinois. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology (Board-Certified). Dr. Tran’s clinical interests include medical, pediatric, and surgical dermatology. She enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her family and friends.

NANCY KOEHLER, PA-C

Nancy Koehler is an NCCPA nationally board-certified Physician Assistant. She attended the University of Southern California School of Medicine where she graduated magna cum laude in Physician Assistant Studies. Nancy started her career in Internal Medicine, and has a broad knowledge base of systemic diseases. She has practiced in dermatology since 2002 and is well experienced in treating sun damaged skin, and common dermatological conditions such as acne, rosacea, rashes, and pigment disorders. She is proficient in performing procedures such as biopsies, cryotherapy, destruction of malignant lesions, and removal of benign skin lesions such as moles, warts, and skin tags.

In addition, Nancy specializes in aesthetic dermatology. With more than 15 years of experience with BOTOX, fillers, IPL, laser resurfacing, peels, microneedling, and topical skin care products, she is one of the most highly sought after cosmetic providers in Orange County. She believes that no one should feel compromised by their appearance. Her strong conviction and expertise is complemented by her genuine compassionate and caring demeanor. Nancy truly enjoys what she does, and prides herself on seeing her patients improve.

KELLY WONG, PA-C

Kelly Wong is an NCCPA nationally board-certified Physician Assistant. She attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, where she graduated with High Honors in Physician Assistant Studies. Kelly was previously a medical assistant here at Halcyon Dermatology and returned because of her interest in medical dermatology and the supportive Halcyon team. She is experienced in treating common dermatological conditions such as acne, sun damage, rashes, and pigment disorders. When not at Halcyon, Kelly works as a Primary Care PA. In her free time, she enjoys board games and spending time with family, including her two dogs Auto and Harley.

ASTRID SIDARTA, PA-C

Astrid Sidarta is an NCCPA nationally board-certified Physician Assistant. She received her undergraduate degree at the University of California, San Diego where she graduated Magna Cum Laude in Biochemistry and Cell Biology. Then proceeded to Western University of Health Sciences where she graduated with high marks in Physician Assistant Studies. Astrid has experience in a wide breadth of medical specialties, but her passion is in medical and cosmetic dermatology. She is excited to join the Halcyon team. When not at Halcyon, Astrid works as a Primary Care PA. In her free time, she enjoys playing pickleball, traveling, and spending time with family.

SAMANTHA FUHRMAN, R.N.

Samantha Fuhrman, R.N. is a board-certified Registered Nurse who obtained her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at West Coast University in Southern California. Prior to nursing school, Samantha became a certified medical assistant and worked at Halcyon Dermatology for over four years assisting with various dermatologic procedures. Samantha specializes in cosmetic procedures including laser hair removal, skin tightening, Fraxel, Hydrafacials, photofacials/IPL, chemical peels, microneedling, and more. She is dedicated to helping her patients improve their skin using the latest evidenced-based technologies and skin care. When not at Halcyon, Samantha also cares for patients as an oncology nurse. In her free time, Samantha enjoys hiking, traveling, and experiencing different cuisines throughout the world.

ZURI OJEDA, LICENSED COSMETOLOGIST

Zuri Ojeda was born and raised in San Clemente. She has been a licensed cosmetologist for 7 years and has a passion for skincare. Zuri specializes in Hydrafacials to help patients achieve beautiful, radiant, youthful skin. She has been with Halcyon as a certified medical assistant for more than 4 years, and is also our Front Office supervisor. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, baking, continuing her education and traveling.
